Gold Goddess Spiral Bracelet 14KT gold-filled ENLARGE

An Egyptian goldsmith produced a lovely and unusual necklace made entirely of wire over four thousand years ago. As far as we know, he was the first designer to use the coil principle and the first to fit coiled links together in this unique fashion. Links in bracelets similar to this one were used in ancient times as currency.

This basic idea seems to have occurred to expert metal workers of many times and places, for ornaments based on the same design have been found in the tombs of the rulers of such unrelated regions of the world as Peru and Persia.

Now it’s your turn to wear this elegant, ancient design! 14KT gold-filled spirals and "S" Clasp. Please note the length of this bracelet is just over 7 inches. Each coil is meticulously hand made. I recommend wearing this bracelet on your bare arm (no long sleeves), to best show off the design and to keep the coils from catching on cuffs.

Some of the Metaphysical Properties attributed to Spirals are:

The spiral is said to be one of the oldest symbols of human spirituality. It has been found etched into rocks from thousands of years ago, on every continent in the world. The spiral is a natural form of growth,
and has become, in every culture and every age, humanity’s symbol of the progress of the soul towards eternal life.

The spiral represents the flow of physical & spiritual energy. It symbolizes both solar & lunar, male & female energies. Ancient astronomers have used the spiral image to represent the universe long before the discovery of spiral galaxies. In yoga, the spiral is associated with the Kundalini force dormant at the base of the spine. During meditation, it awakes & rises like a serpent through the energy centers (chakras) until it flows out of the head’s crown. The spiral is also connected to the breath & spirit, and the Egyptian Thoth is shown with a large spiral on his head. The spiral is used as an attribute of power, found in sceptre heads of Egyptian pharoahs and Christian popes & bishops. The spiral has become a symbol for Spirit in Wicca, and is also seen as an emblem of the goddess.
