This is something that’s not often seen, especially not as a beautiful silver pendant! Mother Nature is creating all the time, even far beneath the surface of the Earth and within caves where geodes form. Here, we have a one-of-a-kind Amethyst crystal drusy button pendant. Very hard to find! . The crystals were cut from an amethyst geode and backed with resin for stability this was done directly at the mine. The deeper the purple color the higher the value of the amethyst, this one has a wonderful DEEP purple color with lots of sparkles from the crystals facets! You can judge for yourself from the pictures, but even they cannot do the original piece full justice.

I hand selected this beautiful drusy button and then sat down at my jeweler’s bench to "listen" to what the stone wanted to express. This design is the result of my "conversation" with this beautiful stone being. This form of stone setting is often referred to as wire wrapping and has a long history. It is one of the only techniques that doesn’t use solder or adhesives to hold the stone. I used straight Sterling Silver wire, my hands, and small jeweler’s pliers to create each turn and twist of the design. The stone is lovingly embraced and securely held by the wire wrapping. The back of the stone is exposed so it will rest directly against your skin.
