Pietersite, an exotic looking variety of tigereye, is a mysterious stone blending chatoyant colors of browns, golds, reds, and blues. Like other chatoyant stones this piece seems to be alive as it changes character with movement and light. From Namibia this is a RARE gemstone. It is very difficult to capture the true magic of this stone in a photograph. You simply have to see it for yourself in order to truly appreciate its splendor.
This is another exclusive Cryztalvisions design. No two pieces are ever identical. I hand selected these highly polished cut cabochons for their beauty and energies and then sat down at my jeweler’s bench to "listen" to what the stones wanted to express. This design is the result of my "conversation" with these beautiful stone beings. This form of stone setting is often referred to as wire wrapping and has a long history. It is one of the only techniques that doesn’t use solder or adhesives to hold the stone. I used straight Sterling Silver (.925) wire, my hands, and small jeweler’s pliers to create each turn and twist of the design. The stones are lovingly embraced and securely held by the wire wrapping. The back of the stones are exposed so they will rest directly against your skin....also nice for those of us who like to rub stones between our fingers
