FIRE AGATE is in the Quartz/Agate group. Usually a rusty-brownish color, with fire bubbles that are visible after cutting and polishing. The iridescent colors of the fire bubbles are caused by thin layers of iron oxide crystals. Fire Agate is found in the arid regions of Mexico and southwestern US You can really feel the fire when gazing into one of these beauties. Beautiful stones containing all the colors of the sunset arrayed in various irregular patterns and bands, this agate usually has inclusions of Goethite or Limonite which cause the stones to be iridescent.

Fire Agate is said to represent the spiritual flame of absolute perfection! Fire Agate has only been in commercial circulation since post WWII it has been called one of the New Millenium minerals.

This is a one-of-a-kind design. Each piece is unique. I let each stone "speak" to me as I lovingly craft a wire frame to securely embrace the stone. Then I take straight 14/20 14KT gold-filled wire and create each turn and twist of decorative work with my hands and small jewelry pliers. This beautiful pendant measures approximately 2" in length and 5/8"wide. The stone measures 17x12mm and weighs 20 cts! This is a ONE-OF-A-KIND design. There will never be another pendant like it.
