I call this piece "Ancient Wisdom"

The Ginkgo leaf is handcrafted from fine silver (.999) and shows the delicate details of the veins of the leaf, it has a buttery brushed satin finish. The stem has been curled over to form a bail that will accept chains up t0 4mm in diameter. I have added a fine silver dragonfly charm which "flies" over the leaf as you walk. These two very ancient and powerful life forces come together in my design to share their wisdom with you.

Ginkgo biloba is the oldest surviving tree species on Earth, it is considered a living fossil. The ginkgo tree can survive up to a thousand years. The Ginkgo leaf has become a timeless symbol of harmony, longevity, hope and healing. Its distinctive fan-shaped leaves that turn golden yellow in autumn have inspired artists for at least as long.

Dragonfly Medicine

It is estimated that they have been on our planet for 180 million years. Dragonfly symbolizes the power of light. The archetypal forces we associate with the dragonfly can bend, shift and be adapted in a variety of ways just as light. Dragonfly is one of the most adaptable insects which is why it has been able to survive for so long.

Dragonfly is the essence of change, the messages of wisdom and enlightenment, and the communications from the elemental world.

Dragonfly’s spectacular shifting of color and movement reminds us of a time when magic ruled the land. Dragonfly magic allows us to break our illusions in order to be transformed. When Dragonfly enters our lives, they remind us that we are light and can reflect the light in powerful ways if we choose to do so.
